How Uncap handles your information.

This policy covers the uncap.ca website and the ways you can contact Uncap through it. Information handled inside a client engagement is governed by the written agreement for that engagement, which sets out residency, retention, subprocessors and security in more detail.

Who is responsible

Uncap Ventures Inc., Montréal, Québec, Canada, is responsible for the personal information described here. The person in charge of the protection of personal information is Giancarlo Casale, reachable at gcasale@uncap.ca.

What the website collects

The website sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising or cross-site tracking.

  • Aggregated analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and understand referrers, device types and countries. It does not use cookies and does not build individual profiles.
  • Hosting logs. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and operations, for a limited period.
  • Booking details. If you book a working session, the embedded Cal.com scheduler collects the name, email address and any notes you enter, so we can hold the meeting and prepare for it.
  • Correspondence. If you email us, we keep the message and our reply as a business record.

How we use it

We use this information to run and secure the website, to respond to you, to schedule and prepare for conversations you request, and to understand which pages are useful. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to train models.

Who processes it

A small number of service providers process information on our behalf, each under its own privacy commitments:

  • Vercel Inc. (website hosting and analytics).
  • Cal.com, Inc. (meeting scheduling).
  • Google LLC (Google Workspace for email and calendar).

Some of these providers operate outside Québec and Canada, including in the United States, which means information may be stored or accessed there and be subject to local law. We choose providers with contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to the information involved.

How long we keep it

Analytics are kept only in aggregated form. Booking details and correspondence are kept for as long as they are relevant to our relationship with you or required by law, then deleted. You can ask us to delete them sooner.

Your rights

Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), you may ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, withdraw consent, or ask how it has been used and shared. Write to the address above and we will respond within thirty days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the effective date at the top. Material changes to how we handle your information will be announced on this page before they take effect.
